We Are Adults

Before I met my partner and I was dating, I joined an Internet dating website. A few friends had told me about internet dating and I knew that they had been successful with it so I decided to go ahead and join one.

I got chatting to a few guys and I actually met up with 2 of them. The first guy I met up with took me out for a candle light dinner and then on to watch a play at the theatre. It was a really nice night and we got on really well, but there was no spark between us and we both agreed to stay in contact but as friends.

The second guy I met took me to the cinema and then onto the pub for a drink. We got on well too and we did have that spark between us. We were discussing the Internet dating website we were both on and about our past dating experiences. He told me about a blind date his friends had set him up with. I couldn't help but laugh when I found out that the women he had been set up with was actually a man. That was a bit cruel of them, but he saw the funny side of it eventually and forgave them.

We kept in contact and a few days later he made me dinner. It was lovely and I really liked him. We had so much in common and he really made me laugh. A few weeks later and we were inseparable. I told a friend of mine to join the Internet dating website and she too, found someone on there who she is still now with.

After a few months of us being together he proposed to me. It was so sweet and the ring he gave me is gorgeous! I felt the luckiest girl alive. I really do think I have found my soul mate.

We have been together for 5 years now and are hoping to get married next September. We are also planning on having a baby after we have gotten married and are hoping to get our dream house too. When I think back to how things were before I met my partner and how my life would be with out him I feel really sad, and I am so glad I went on the dating website and met the man of my dreams.
